I am literate, smarmy, and colloquial

I'm a bright eyed enthusiast of life and the learning it entails, as well as a geek extraordinaire. I like to keep a few good friends around, a stash of good cheeses and a jug of wine, and enough stories to keep the night alight.

I hope to widen my circle, see new faces and meet the minds that keep this town afloat while I am sleeping. I would love to meet you if you are brainy and energetic, fun and even a smidgen cute. I love trying to put a face to a well written letter, talking about your favorite weird foods or walking for hours in the bright exuberant wilderness.

I am working towards my degree in biology with a focus on botany and entomology and a good background in chemistry. My goals are to continuing work in the scientific research environment with a focus on insect vectors, invasive species and permaculture techniques with food crops in the developing world. My brief stint as a botanical researcher and science journal writer in an Orchid greenhouse still keeps my hopes green.

I currently work overnights to support my habits of being housed and eating, paying for my text books, and to supplement a load of hobbies. I am a tinker extraordinaire - with ongoing projects hacking my microscope into a fully fledged camera, plant culturing, orchid propagation, typewriter repair, a bit of a basil garden and an active freelance gig doing Photography.

My spare time is spent writing, reading voraciously and with close friends I generally invite over for good German beer and my famous pesto flatbread pizzas.
